Mr. and Mrs. Jepersen
I had the pleasure of photographing Amanda and Erik's summertime wedding in June. The girls were dolled up in bright pink, and the guys sporting their jet black tuxes. I was misty-eyed while capturing their First Look. Amanda held up quite well; and I of course didn’t. As soon as Erik turned around and saw his bride he gasped, Amanda made a “you look so adorable in a tux” face and they immediately ran towards each other. Amanda showing off her dress and dazzling shoes, and Erik couldn’t keep his hands off her. It was such an emotional moment. Amanda and Erik expressed their vows in an elegantly lit church, in front of their closest family and friends. The service was delicate and personal. Their love is absolutely beautiful.
Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Jepersen!!!

112 degrees
Summer is here, and she is in full swing this year. In fact, I think she's mad at me. Friday June 1st - 112 degrees: I burnt my hand on the car door handle and steering wheel. My thigh melted to my seat. The wind felt like a blow dryer and burned my retinas. How many more months of this???
I photographed a wedding the following day...outside, at 2:00 in the afternoon. I then thought about selling everything and moving to Antarctica. Just me and the penguins. Then I remembered how much I whine and shiver when it's 65 degrees.

Baby Lyla and family
I was lucky enough to photograph Nick and Erin's maternity session a few months ago. Only a short week later did baby Lyla arrive! I was even luckier to be able to document this beautiful baby girl at 13 weeks. Her grandma Marti and Aunt Abby came from out of town to visit and we had some fun!! To be honest, I surprised myself with how amazing these images turned out - - I've only photographed one other infant before, my son, and he didn't behave quite this well. Infant photography is tough and I've had very little practice. Well, well, well, I must say this baby girl was perfect during the shoot!! I even got a little choked up editing these priceless portraits.
Nick, Erin, Abby, and Marti: Thank you so much AGAIN for trusting me to photograph your lovely little girl. Enjoy!

Sarah & Drew: Engaged!!!
Meet: Sarah and Drew...my new favorite couple. F'reals!
I had so much fun with this couple, I forgot we were even on a photo shoot. They are so freaking (eehrm, can I say freaking on a blog?) cool! Sarah is - wait for it...wait for it - - a stingray keeper at the zoo!! Yep. Seriously. And, Drew is a manager of a Starbucks; and you know I love me an iced-grande-no whip-cinnamon-dolce-latte, so clearly it was a match made in heaven. :) :) We traveled around downtown Mesa, laughing, telling stories, and making fun of ourselves. They are my kind of couple - real and F-U-N.
Check out the lovely, soon-to-be, Mr. and Mrs. Ekstrom!!!
Sarah and Drew, the girl that said you two would make a cute couple, was right on the money!! You two are perfect for one another. Thank you for choosing me to document your engagement! Enjoy!

Baby Ethan & Family!!!
Ethan is a month younger than my little one and he is extremely active; I had a hard time keeping up with him!!! He's crawling, almost walking and wants to move, move, move. His brown doughy eyes will melt your heart and his personality is even more amazing. Our session happened to be on Robert & Carolina's five year anniversary so we celebrated with a few flirty poses. They rocked it! I don't think I've ever seen lighting this good!
Robert and Carolina, your family is so beautiful! Keep making babies because ya'll are good at it! :)

Laura & Tim: Married!!!
Laura spotted Tim a few years back at a popular hang-out. She squealed to her girlfriends in the restaurant bathroom about how cute he was. Unbeknownst to her, Tim's friend was in the same bathroom and overheard the giggly girl talk. Later that night, Tim approached Laura...their first date was an afternoon hike, and years later Tim got down on one knee, atop the same mountain and asked Laura to be his wife. They married on the dock at Layton Lakes in Gilbert. During the ceremony, the dark rain clouds separated and the sun glistened on the water. It was perfection!
Laura and Tim, you both light up when you're in each other’s arms. I am honored you chose me to document your beautiful day. Everything fell into place perfectly. I laughed and cried; and felt like I was a part of your family - Thank you. Congratulations on your new life together!
Warning: Before you proceed to view these images, you should sit down. Seriously. This couple is beyond gorgeous!
